Mark Ilton

Assistant Professor, Harvey Mudd College

Mark Ilton is an assistant professor in the Department of Physics at Harvey Mudd College. Formerly, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Massachusetts Amherst advised by Prof. Al Crosby. Mark and his team of undergraduate researchers in the Physics of Soft Matter Lab (posmlab) study LaMSA systems by combining a systems-level modeling approach with experiments that characterize the high-rate behavior of elastic materials.
